fran (iiYAH*ISHA) echols is an award winning theatrical and landscape artivist whose spoken word and visual art fosters the ultimate in INTERGENERATIONAL oral and folk art traditions.
iiYAH*ISHA centers ALL artistic initiatives within multicultural / ancestral focusing as she embraces interdisciplinary eclectic communication systems to educate, to encourage, to empower, to bless and to heal....
Self described as an Amer*African*Euro*Asiatic*Indigenous Words*Woman, she is a founding mentor of ~
Women of Achievement, Inc.(1982), the Ultra YOUth! Intergenerational Agri*CULTURAL*Arts Communiversity (1985), Great Basin Food Cooperative (2004) and the R.E.A.L. (~Responsibility ~Earth ~Art ~Learning) ECO*AGRI*ARTS Collaborative (2007).
As ELDER*GRIOT Arts Educator, Mediator~ Consultant and Documentarian*Performer, iiYAH*ISHA travels globally to create and perpetuate community empowerment and green initiatives as unequivocal inroad to moral peace and justice.
A native Memphian, she is exceedingly empowered by and particularly proud of her following Community Gardening Projects to date:
